BIG NIGHT FOR TRAINER GUILLERMO VALDIVIA and JOCKEY ROLANDO RAUDALES, WINNING TWO STAKES RACES, INCLUDING REMINGTON JUVENILE

OKLAHOMA CITY - April 21, 2019 – Trainer Guillermo Valdivia and jockey Rolando Raudales had a huge night Saturday, winning the $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile and the $56,400 Bob Moore Memorial Stakes.

The two combined in the Juvenile with 2-year-old gelding Relentless Gun at 16-1 odds to score in the ninth race and then won the 12th race with Eye Eye Captain. Winning the juvenile with Relentless Gun was the second time for Valdivia to have his picture taken in this race, winning with Smokin Bye You in 2011. It was Raudales’ first time to win this race.

Relentless Gun broke his maiden in the Juvenile after making his debut on April 5 in the trials for the Remington Park Futurity, where he ran second a head back of Mr Perry Hock. The victory in the Juvenile was worth $40,820 to owner Running C Ranch LLC of Centerview, Mo. Relentless Gun is by Hes Relentless, out of the Tres Seis mare CF Smokin Gun. His running time for the 330 yards on a fast track was 16.909 for a speed index of 86. He beat Alotalota by a full length and that horse was another head in front of the betting favorite at 2-1 odds, Jay Number 7, who ran third.

Relentless Gun was bred in Oklahoma by the owner. He now has $43,784 in two career starts. He paid $35.20 to win, $13.80 to place and $8.60 to show. He broke from the gate fifth, but it wasn’t long before he passed four horses to take the lead. The race was run for 2-year-old Oklahoma-bred American Quarter Horses.
